November 2023, Summit Architects + Engineers was awarded an Honor in Masonry Award by TMI (Tri-State Masonry Institute) for Elsmere City building and police station.
This recognition is a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation in every project we undertake. Our team’s dedication to precision, craftsmanship, and creative design has earned us this esteemed accolade. Winning this masonry award not only validates our expertise but also underscores our ability to push the boundaries of what is achievable in the field of architecture and engineering. We are deeply grateful for the recognition and excited to continue delivering exceptional results for our clients in the future.
The new facility comes in at just over 15,000 square feet and houses the Elsmere City Administration Departments and the Elsmere Police Department. The building is constructed with concrete masonry and brick masonry with natural limestone. Facility Systems are designed to exceed Energy Star to deliver the lowest cost of facility ownership to the City. A new space for the City Council Chambers has been included and the space can be easily converted into two community spaces capable of hosting local business trainings, community gatherings etc. The building also provides an emergency “shelter in place” space for the City Personnel and will act as the City’s hub for emergency management during a crisis event.
We are so grateful to the Elsmere City authorities for trusting in Summit to provide this outstanding facility and giving us the opportunity to work on this project. We are confident that this building will be able to leave a lasting impact on the Elsmere community for years to come.
